The Mesquite Boxes are made from
mesquite wood, a tree that grows profusely throughout the Southwest.
Mesquite has a lot of character, with many worm holes, bark inclusions,
burls and other natural undulations, which lend itself well to the crosses
and boxes they create. The wood is then inlaid with natural turquoise,
malachite, copper, lapis, and other minerals and filled with a clear epoxy
resin that captures the color and texture of the minerals and shows off its'
natural beauty.
Keep in mind that each piece is a
unique work of art and the inherent nature of the wood and stone makes each
piece one-of-a-kind. You may specify which size and a preference of
turquoise, malachite, copper, or lapis inlay you prefer. Prices will
vary slightly depending on the particular minerals and box design.
